But the issue won't stop the project being completed in April next year.
AWH ceo Sue O'Neill said some mould was detected in the lower part of some plasterboard and joinery and had been removed.
"There was a water inundation from outside through one of the rooms on the ground floor," she said.
"This affected area, non-clinical, is in the process of being replaced."
