The Albury driver sits 140 points behind Craig Lowndes, however, with a total of 300 points on offer from two 37 lap races on Saturday and the main 74 lap event on Sunday, he has a real chance of securing the best finish by an Albury driver in the history of the championship.
“One hundred and forty points is definitely achievable,” Reynolds said.
“My chances are really good to get second.
“The Red Bulls are going pretty fast at the minute; they have found a bit of speed, but we’ve had good speed all year - so it’s on.
“It’s a high risk track and three tough races, especially on Sunday, so anything can happen and generally it does happen at this place.”
Reynold’s teammate and championship leader, Mark Winterbottom, had his chances of winning his maiden ruined in 2010 when he hit the wall.
