Radio station 2AY will also continue its annual broadcast of both the Wodonga and Albury carols.
And both events are on the move, Albury’s carols return at QEII Square, on December 23, after being held at Albury Sportsground last year because of construction work at MAMA while the Wodonga carols were held at Birrallee Park, because of works at Willow Park.
2AY breakfast announcer Sandra Moon will host the Wodonga evening.
Wodonga’s carols will see 25 singers leading the program of 25 carols supported by a combined 60-voice choir involving Sing Australia, New Life Chapel and Wodonga primary schools.
Nine performers will make their carols by candlelight debut at Willow Park.
The carols will be broadcast live on 2AY and streamed on brassbanned.com.
People who access the brassbanned.com site will be able to see live performer close-ups as well as provide feedback throughout the evening.
Albury’s carols will be hosted by John Walker and begin at 6pm, featuring an expanded Carols Gospel Choir as well as the Carols Show Band.
Both events are free.
