Burnouts were performed at Cundy Park overnight on Sunday, leaving large tyre tracks on the concrete and grass.
Leading Senior Constable Bernard Murphy believes the person responsible probably uses the skate park, which recently underwent a $160,000 makeover.
“It’s appalling behaviour," he said.
The upgrades were unveiled on Friday.
