About 40 shooters with state experience will take part with club secretary Maurice Cevaal-Hewitt delighted with the response.
Nine Hume members have also entered with several expected to feature prominently in the three-day event.
“It’s the inaugural event so we are trying to build it from the ground up,” Cevaal-Hewitt said.
“It would be great to get a state championship in the future.
“We have shooters from NSW and Victoria coming and hopefully people will come out and take a look.
“We are looking to attract new members and this could be a stepping stone for anyone interested.”
The action starts at 6.30pm on Friday and will run for three hours.
It will then continue at 8am on Saturday and finish on Sunday afternoon.
The club is situated at the Jindera Gap.
