A SECURITY guard was punched, kneed and thrown down a flight of stairs at The Bended Elbow in Albury.

A West Albury teenager accused of stabbing a man during a brawl involving more than 10 people will remain behind bars until next week.
Cham Payne, 18, did not apply for bail during a brief appearance in Albury Local Court this morning.

Emergency services worked to free a man trapped in his car following a collision on the Hume Freeway near Wodonga.
A witness said there was a collision between a Ford Focus and Nissan 4WD at the intersection of the Hume Freeway and Old Barnawartha Road.
