With one of the largest brass bands in Australia being backed up by a choir of 100 members, the performances will again be first-class according to Wodonga Carols’ Jacob Mildren.
“We’re led to be believe that this year will be one of the biggest brass band performances in Australia,” Mr Mildren said.
“The band has been practicing for a long time to make sure they are perfect on the night and the members from 11 to 87 years old will be involved on the night.”
Mr Mildren said the Wodonga event, which brought a touch of the grandeur normally found in its capital city counterparts, when combined with the local charm were two of the main reasons for people returning.
“We really think it has been a tradition for families at this time of year, that it’s about a week out from Christmas, it really helps people get into the spirit of this time of the year,” he said.
A crowd of around 10,000 is expected at Willow Park and in an event first, a big screen will be set up to allow patrons further from the stage to get an up-close view of the performers.
