Chapter Six, an offshoot of Alcoholics Anonymous, has four Victorian branches.
The Wangaratta group was formed following the closure of a similar group in Stanley earlier in the year.
Motorcycle member Trevor Prevor said the members came from a similar background in motorcycle groups and understood each other’s battle with alcohol.
“We’re just alkies and it’s just an AA meeting, except we ride motorcycles,’ he said.

Members ranged from two years to 38 years sober and rode anything from a Suzuki 250cc bike to a Harley Davidson.
The symbol on their leather jackets was an emblem designed from the AA logo, not a bikie patch.
“We’re not associated with any (bikie gangs) and we don’t cause any waves,” Mr Prevor said.
“What other people do his their business.”
He said 80 per cent of people in AA go back to the workforce and 60 per cent reunite with their families.
The Wangaratta Chapter Six branch planned to meet every third Sunday of the month at St Michaels Church Hall at 1pm.
