United faces City at La Trobe University on February 20, before another home game in round two against Box Hill United.
The club’s first away game is against Dandenong Thunder in round three on March 5, while its last home-and-away game is against Nunawading City at La Trobe University on September 3.
United will come up against former Melrose FC and Albury-Wodonga Warriors striker Trent Rixon.
Nixon has signed with Moreland City for the 2016 season, which competes in NPL2 West.
Moreland City hosts Murray United on April 2.
Rixon crosses over from Port Melbourne, where he stayed for one season, scoring four goals from 14 games.
The tall veteran is one of the most experienced strikers in Victoria, winning the Golden Boot award with 19 goals in 2010 while at Northcote City.
“We set the stalls out early with Trent, recognising we needed experience and leadership for a squad with an average age around 22,” coach Adrian Mathers told Moreland City media.
“Aside from that, he is a proven goalscorer with a winning mentality.
“A lot of clubs had interest in Trent, so for him to decide to join us is a huge boost for our squad and validates the ambitions we carry into 2016.”
The club has also signed former Brisbane Strikers attacker Apai Ukuno.
