POLICE are investigating the cause of a suspicious car fire at Tarrawingee.

The blaze broke out about on Petticoat Lane about 1.45am on Friday.
The fire spread to nearby grass and four firefighting trucks responded and brought the incident under control within minutes.
About 15 firefighters were needed to extinguish the flames, which gutted the vehicle.
It’s not known if the car was stolen, but police are investigating possible links to other incidents.
The fire follows an unrelated incident on the Hume Highway at Thurgoona on Thursday afternoon.
An older driver fell asleep while driving and stopped on the side of the road.
A grass fire started at the base of the car which spread to the vehicle and bushland next to the highway.
The woman her husband were uninjured.
