Five laden trailers and a command post will be based at the Barnawartha Community Centre from Saturday.
BlazeAid Barnawartha fire co-ordinator Greg Duncan urged land owners hit by the December 20 fires to attend the centre at the weekend to detail their fence repairs.
He said the charity would start work on Monday and expected to be in the district for up to three months removing damaged fences and installing new wiring.
Volunteers are expected to come from across the country, but Mr Duncan said Border residents were welcome to assist and to phone him on 0404 800 823.
Indigo councllor Emmerick Teissl, who along with Yackandandah Lions Club members, towed the trailers to Barnawartha on Wednesday, is thrilled at BlazeAid's response.
“It's fantastic that they've been able to come so quickly and organise themselves,” Cr Teissl said.
