The 21-year old South Sundan-born prospect will line up alongside Zac Walker, with senior coach James Coutts excited about Lino's potential.
“He's a player we've been speaking to for some time now, it's great to be able to get him on board,” he said.
“He's something different to what we've got, he has a lot of potential.
“He's pretty big and strong for a young player, but he's also very quick.
“He'll add another dimension to the side, signs are there early on that he and Zac will forma good partnership.”
Injuries all bar derailed United's campaign in their debut season, a problem Coutts thinks the club will be able to put behind them.
“The plan was always to make the squad more competitive heading into this season,” he said.
“We're hoping to have a couple more players signed before the recruitment window closes next week.
“We want players who complement each other and add to the group.”
He's something different to what we've got, he'll add another dimension to our offence.
