The home team pounded Leeton 38-0 before beating rival club Kangaroos 12-0.
Coach Ben Jeffery said he was delighted with the team’s form in its final practice matches.
“It was a really good hit-out for us,” Jeffery said.
“We had virtually everyone playing, with the exception of Jay Little, and worked on some combinations.
“I think we’re a bit fitter and better organised than this time last year.”
Jeffery, Jon Huggett, Andrew Smith and Dave and Andrew Cowhan played well for Thunder.
Teams from Albury Thunder, Leeton and Wagga Kangaroos competed for the Ravu-Wishart Cup (men) and the Stephanie Scott Cup (women).
The inaugural What’s Your State of Mind event attracted a big crowd with about 200 people taking part in the mental health programs.
