Ray Dyer and his goat have added another unique element to Indi’s election campaign after the Ovens man registered as an independent candidate.

He is no stranger to elections, having run for the Victorian state seat of Ovens Valley in 2014 and a spot on Alpine Council multiple times.
The tactics will not change this time around, with Mr Dyer continuing to wear the Ned Kelly T-shirts and armour he was known for and campaign with his pet goat by his side.
He told The Border Mail he would campaign on issues including creating the Big Buffalo dam, improving cyclist and motorcyclist safety and upgrading public toilets.
“Tourism up this way is going to be a big issue,” Mr Dyer said.
“I’m having a go and nobody can knock me for having a go.”
The widower said he would not “take any rot” from other politicians, but was happy to work with any of the major parties to make a difference.
