Cr Glachan will be No.1 on the ticket of independents, followed in order by interior designer Gabrielle Donders, Mr Farrah, Mrs Mitchell, Darren Miles and Michael Davidovic.
The team’s statement yesterday defended the present council’s record of achievement but said that the new council should have a mixture of fresh and experienced people.
“We want to celebrate the considerable achievements of the current council and ensure the continued success of Albury and the region,” Cr Glachan said.
Cr Glachan, a former chairwoman of the cultural precinct committee until ousted by non-Liberal councillors, noted the library-museum as one top achievement.
She also cited the Wilson Street multi-deck car park, the airport industrial estate and the commercial developments in Borella Road and the Quest apartments project.
Mrs Donders is a self-employed interior designer whose family has long been involved in family businesses in Albury.
She is married with two children and one grandchild.
Mr Farrah, owner of the Albury Manor House and a leading martial arts instructor, has been a businessman for 30 years in retail and commercial businesses in Albury.
Mrs Mitchell is a financial planner.
Mr Miles is a chaplain at a school in Wodonga and Mr Davidovic, a long-time soccer player, works in hospitality.
