Organised by the Albury-Wodonga Prostate Cancer Support Group, the Blue Tie Ball will benefit professional development for Border nurses to increase their knowledge and understanding of the illness.
“Our aim is to fund the cost of some courses that nurses can do,” group secretary Glenn Rose said.
“We’re also keen just to raise awareness of prostate cancer as well,” .
Victorian band Tarragal will provide a mix of old time and modern music at the event, to be held in the Commercial Club auditorium.
