Several coaches this week rated the Bulldogs chances of winning as equal to Lavington’s prospects against Albury in the Ovens and Murray.
“It’s going to be tough,” Walker said.
“There is no doubt about that.
“They have been the best side in the comp for the last four years.
“They have a great list, a really even list, and their top 10 are just superstars and better than any other top 10 in the competition.
“For us it’s about everyone playing their role.
“It’s going to take everyone of us to do everything right.”
Walker, who is expected to step down from the helm at the end of the season, is Jindera’s biggest injury concern with the former Wodonga player an unlikely starter with a hamstring.
He went down in the opening minutes of the Bulldogs win against CDHBU in the qualifying final.
“It’s a bit touch and go,” he said.
“I probably won’t make a decision until Saturday.
“I’ll give it every chance.
“Old hamstrings and then you get tears and you try and condense it into a fortnight.
“It’s one of those things where you sometimes take a punt and it works and other times it doesn’t.
“It’s a matter of whether you roll the dice.”
Brocklesby-Burrumbuttock co-coach Jarrod Hillary is cautious of Jindera after watching the Bulldogs run over Murray Magpies in the preliminary final.
“I watched Jindera last week and they certainly moved the ball well,” he said.
“We will have to play well.
“They have a lot of good ball users and they run hard.”
Hillary said the Saints couldn’t have asked for a better preparation after taking the direct route into the grand final.
“It suits us having the week off, then play a game and then have another week off,” he said.
“It has given guys some time to manage niggles, train hard and get everyone cherryripe.”
