The reigning champs were clinical in dispatching the Southern Riverina Vipers at Moama, restricting them to just 110 in their 20 overs.
Cameron White earned man of the match honours for his figures of 4/17, and was well supported by marquee players Dilhara Lokuhettige and Chris Sole who bowled superbly.
Despite losing Drew Cameron in the first over, the Bullets were little short of ruthless with the bat.
Albury star Alex Popko bashed out an entertaining 31-run stand, while Matt Armstrong (25) and Matt Crawshaw (23) ensured the Bullets would chase down the Vipers’ total for the loss of just five wickets.
Coach Robbie Jackson said the side had picked up where it left off last season.
“We were pretty clinical, we bowled well early and kept the pressure on right through,” he said.
“We dropped a couple of catches but in general our fielding was very good, we kept them on the back foot.”
Despite a host of new faces for the 2016 campaign, Jackson said the team still had a strong sense of camaraderie
“We've got a lot of guys who can play a lot of different roles on this team, but they've all bought into the team aspect of it,” he said.
“Cameron (White) is the ultimate team man, he does whatever it takes to win.
“We saw that from him today.”
The Bullets face the winner of Murrumbidgee and Wagga on November 6.
