Jessica Nicole Hammond was pulled over in her silver BMW on Victoria Cross Parade in Wodonga on May 17 last year.
She produced a Victorian licence and appeared nervous while speaking to police.
They found a knife with a seven centimetre blade in the driver’s side door pocket.
Hammond told police it was there for protection for her clients and she was issued an infringement, which she later rejected to.
Police again stopped her car on the Hume Freeway at Wodonga at 3.30am on July 11.
She tested positive to drugs but refused to go back to the station, telling officers she was “really tired”.
Hammond said money was “really scarce” and that had a client waiting for her who she needed to go and see.
Hammond argued against a conviction being imposed in Wodonga Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
She has previously checked herself into rehab to deal with her drug problem.
She didn't last, but defence lawyer Mario Vaccaro said drug screening since had tested negative.
The court heard she had completed more than three years of a diploma.
Hammond was placed on a six month community corrections order by magistrate Stella Stuthridge.
