The Rutherglen Football Club coach was valiant in his fight against stomach cancer after being diagnosed in July last year.
In typical Jacka style, he spoke at the time of “making the little wins count” following his diagnosis and urged people to get themselves checked out if they felt something wasn’t right.
Team Jacka was instrumental in The Border Relay for Life in October, contributing a whopping $65,000 to the more than $400,000 raised.
Jacka, who also spent time at Lavington, Henty, Balranald, Howlong and Wodonga Raiders football clubs, is survived by wife Cristy and daughter Lucy.
