The six-time Burghley winner and two-time Badminton winner, who also has numerous world and European championships to her name, will pass on her top cross-country tips to riders on February 6 and 7.
Green is a household name in the international equestrian world and her unmistakable British accent is well known across the airwaves as the expert commentator for successive Olympics and other major equestrian events.
Clinic organiser Nadia Dean said the Border clinic (sponsored by Succeed Equine) would incorporate a skills session over showjumps on the Monday with riders putting their training into practice on Tuesday out on the Thurgoona centre’s expansive course.
About 20 local riders, including talented young Howlong eventer Teegan Ashby, will take part in the clinic, which will have a special emphasis on safety.
“Lucinda has a unique clinic in that it’s all about safety; making sure the horse and rider combination get around the course,” Ms Dean said.
“Her clinics focus on rider position, technique and the training needed to make your cross-country ride as safe and fun as possible.”

Green didn’t own a horse until she was 15, when she was given Be Fair for her birthday, reports British magazine Horse & Hound.
The pair worked their way up through the eventing grades, before going to the 1973 Olympics and winning Badminton some seven years later.
Green is the only rider to have won Badminton six times, on six different horses and she has won the Tony Collins Trophy, for the rider with the most British Eventing points in a season, a record seven times.
In 2016 Horse & Hound named Green among its list of the 50 greatest horsemen (and women) of all time. That list included Queen Elizabeth II for her commitment, passion and success in all areas of equestrianism.
