A leader in early detection research Dr Josephine Barbaro, from the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre, will speak at La Trobe University Albury-Wodonga from 6pm.
Her groundbreaking work to identify behavioural red flags in young children is used around the world to diagnose babies as young as 12 months.
About 1 in 100 children have an autism spectrum disorder.
