Clio Knight won the Wodonga Athletics Club’s annual Veronica Foard Gift 100-metre handicap in an impressive time of 12.19 seconds.
Knight held off a strong field of 30 runners, with Oliver Smith second in 12.32 and Gabby Knight just behind in third with a 12.43.
All runners found the hot conditions challenging, but put in season best performances.
The competition is drawing to a close, with many of the juniors heading to Melbourne for the upcoming state competition.
Wodonga Athletics Club also recently hosted the Greg Simpson five-kilometre handicap, with a tremendous field turning up for the hotly-contested final.
Youngster Call Race-Stelling took out the win in a personal best time of a touch over 19 seconds, ahead of runner-up Zac Jones and the evergreen John Guerin in third.
A field of 26 runners fought the high temperatures and wind to make it a very successful event.
The fastest male in the final was Alex Race-Stelling, while fastest female in the decider also went to Call Race-Stelling.
Overall, the fastest male in the series was Mick Evens with a time of 18.37 seconds, while the fastest female of the series was again Call Race-Stelling with an effort of 19.58.
Over the three races, there was a total of 90 competitors, which has set a great platform for the upcoming Cumberoona Race on March 5.
