Club president Larissa Kernaghan said the Bombers were buoyed by a “generally positive” community meeting at Dederang on Monday night.

Thirty-five senior and reserve grade players trained earlier in the evening with Hawthorn ruckman and former Dederang-Mount Beauty player Ben McEvoy set to take training on Friday night.
“We had a pretty good turnout,” Kernaghan said.
“Most of the people were familiar faces and hopefully they will go out into the community and disperse our message.
“It was a direct and informative meeting.
“We filled some roles within the football club and now we need to go out and implement the changes we have put in place.”
Kernaghan said the club’s under-17 player stocks were thin with the Bombers facing a battle to field a side.
Representatives from the AFL North East Border and Tallangatta and District league attended the meeting.
“We had some past club presidents come in and they spoke about the things that have worked in previous years,” Kernaghan said.
“They said we have had tough times before and this was just in the cycle.
“Hopefully we can build on that.
“A lot of things were thrown around and a lot of questions asked which is positive.”
Dederang and Mount Beauty merged in 1976 and have won senior premierships in 1999, 2001 and 2003.
