Former principal dancer of The Royal Ballet in London Mara Galeazzi will perform and host masterclasses from March 13-18.
Galeazzi will perform in works by Border choreographer Tim Podesta with Projection Dance Company and Melbourne Ballet Company on March 17 and 18 at The Cube Wodonga.
Regional Academy of Performing Arts co-director Jennifer Podesta said the Italian dancer’s visit was a huge coup.
She said Galeazzi was among the best dancers in the world.
“In the world of ballet Mara is a super star; this is like getting someone like Emma Thompson or Cate Blanchett to come here and be in a show,” she said.
“Mara has worked with all of the great dancers and leading choreographers in the industry.”
