Last November’s Albury-Wodonga Doll, Bear and Hobby Show raised $2000 for Carevan through admissions, entries and sale of refreshments.
Show president Margaret Grigbsy said the group was pleased by this result as she gave the proceeds to the Border charity, which provided meals for those in need.
“It’s obvious a lot of people out there do need a hand,” she said.
Carevan chief executive Stacey Franklin said the donation would go towards the organisation’s long-term goal to raise about $140,000 for two new food delivery vehicles.
“It will take us a little while, but we’re just going to chip away at it,” she said.
“Every little bit helps.”
