The Silvers Circus performer is no stranger to the thrills, or to travel.
Since starting his career as a flying trapeze artist at the tender age of 12, before becoming a stunt rider in the Globe of Death, Mr Gasser has been almost everywhere.
Wodonga is almost certainly circled on the calendar though – it the place where, 21 months ago, Mr Gasser's son Cooper was born.
“We're just so happy, it's a beautiful place here,” he said.
“We love Albury-Wodonga in general, and it's exciting to come back here.
“We're going to take him to the Flying Fruit Fly Circus for a bit of training as well.”
Mr Gasser likened returning to the Border to returning to the place of his own birth, in Sandringham.
“I was born at the Royal Women's in Melbourne, while our show was doing a three-night stand in Sandringham,” he said.
“Now, whenever my father and I go fishing down there, I get a bit of a funny feeling.
“I get that same feeling now when I'm here with Cooper.”
The veteran circus performer said performing in the Globe of Death was born of a lifelong love of motorcycles.
“Motorcycles have always been a big passion of mine, ever since I was still a flying trapeze artist,” he said.
“I retired from the trapeze when I was 26, and I saw my cousin performing the globe over in Europe.
“A few of us were keen riders and decided to put a globe act together, and I've loved it ever since.
“The guys and I are always having a laugh out the back, we're very tight-knit.
“It’s really a hobby, we all love working our bikes, it's a bit of competition as to who has the best looking bike.
“I think that reflects in the performance as well.”
Silvers Circus has been visiting the region for a number of years, and Mr Gasser said it was no coincidence that the Flying Fruit Fly Circus was a prominent fixture in town.
“It's a very professional setup, I was so impressed when I was there the other day,” he said.
“I've invited the Fruit Flies to see the show and train if they’d like.”
