A man tried to use a counterfeit $100 note to buy items from a store inside the shopping centre about 1.55pm on March 22.
The man was wearing a white Echo Unlimited T-shirt, grey shorts and skate shoes, with short dark hair.
It followed an unrelated incident on March 6 where a 25-year-old Wodonga man lost his wallet in a supermarket in the plaza.
He reported it to police and several cash withdrawals were made a short time later.
Police want to speak to two people caught on CCTV inside the shopping centre about 5.20pm.
Anyone with information can contact Wodonga police on (02) 6049 2600.
