After an impressive nine-goal haul against Wangaratta Rovers last weekend, Garland was suspended for one week, but can’t be picked for the Ovens and Murray’s interleague clash with Goulburn Valley at John Flower Oval on Saturday or the Panthers’ round six meeting with North Albury.
Garland accepted the ban offered by the review panel after he was reported for striking Rovers’ Dale Martin during the first quarter of their clash at W.J. Findlay Oval on Saturday.
With the Ovens and Murray already short of forwards, co-coaches Darrell Spencer and Jon Henry will be forced to explore further options.
North Albury co-coach Daniel Leslie will head to the tribunal on Wednesday night to avoid suspension after being booked for engaging in rough conduct against Wodonga Raiders’ Connor Newnham.
