While Hume was thrashed by the TDFL in 2013, Lowe said his league is still hurting from last year’s loss to the Ovens and King.
““It was a pretty crap day that one,” Lowe, 21, said.
“The team is heaps better than last year though.
“I think we can win.”
Lowe, who played 25 senior matches for Corowa-Rutherglen before returning to Wahgunyah last season, is set to line-up in defence for the TDFL.
“I love rep footy,” he said.
“It’s similar to Ovens and Murray as it’s a lot quicker.”
Lowe hasn’t tasted defeat this season with Wahgunyah sitting on top of the ladder with five straight victories.
“It’s been a terrific start going 5-0,” he said.
“That was our goal at the start of the year and hopefully we can knock off Rutherglen next week.
“That’s probably our benchmark game.”
