Saker was charged with rough conduct after a third-quarter incident against North Albury
The Panthers have until midday to fight the charge, which Saker is expected to do.
He was sent from the field for 15 minutes.
It took some gloss from the Panthers’ 17.11 (113) to 5.6 (36) win.
The Panthers kicked 15 of those goals in the first and final quarters.
“The challenge is to put our best footy together for longer periods,” Saker said.
Debutants Hayden Singe and Noah Amery kicked two goals apiece.
Recruits John-Roy Williams (hamstring) and Josh Star (foot) failed to play the second half.
The Panthers were missing gun forward Luke Garland and Saker needed players to stand up, with Tom Hargreave kicking four, while Adam Flagg landed two.
