But it’s expected the Panthers will reject the clearance.
Meanwhile, two of the league’s men of the moment could decide Sunday’s critical clash between Lavington and Wodonga Raiders.
Jydon Neagle has kicked 18 goals in his past two games for Raiders, while Lavington’s Jono Spina won best on ground during the recent interleague clash, elevating his standing.
Their battle at Lavington Sportsground could decide the result.
“Someone like a Spina or (Will) Lenehan’s likely to get that job initially,” Lavington coach James Saker said.
“Jydon’s a very good player so we’ll need to monitor that, but I wouldn’t think he’d be stuck at full forward all day.”
Neagle is not only one of the league’s best players, he’s also one of the most versatile.
The 22-year-old can play literally anywhere and star in every position, despite battling shoulder problems.
