The Lavington roasters collected just over 17 per cent of the vote, best of the 11 businesses to take part in the paid competition.
Owner and barista Geoffrey Schilg said he was thrilled his business had come out on top.
“It's awesome, we've got some very loyal followers, so I'm really stoked,” Mr Schilg said. He roasts the cafe's beans in house – something he believes creates a point of difference.
“We use really high quality green beans to start with, we work really hard roasting and brewing it,” he said.
“If we can engage with our customers, and send them out with something good to start the morning then we're happy.”
