In a dramatic turnaround, the Rebels kicked 8.2 to 0.1 in the final term to leave the Bushrangers shell-shocked.
Coach Leon Higgins was bitterly disappointed with the fade-out.
“We just couldn’t get our hands on the footy in the last quarter,” Higgins said.
“They got on a roll and had plenty of run and we had none.
“When we had possession, we made mistakes.”
Key forward Daniel Johnston continued his good form by kicking four majors while running backmen Doulton Langlands and Will Donaghey were sound across half-back.
“We were scratchy for most of the game but managed to build a lead and then it all fell apart,” Higgins said.
The Bushrangers have the bye this weekend before playing Geelong Falcons at Ballarat.
