Grills didn’t play his first senior game of the season until round 10.
“A horse tripped over when I was working it, so I broke my navicular (bone),” he said.
“I also did my ACL and I had a few concussions there in 2015, so I missed seven weeks with that and the World Cup.”
Grills is one of Australia’s best polocrosse players.
