The will-o’-the-wisp kicked the Pigeons first two goals and they never trailed from that point.
“He kicked five goals in the thirds last week and if you find space, he’s dangerous,” co-coach Chris Kennedy said.
“I was just rapt with his tackling pressure and I thought for a kid playing his first O and M final, you couldn’t ask for much more.”
The Year 11 Sacred Heart College student could have played in the Pigeons’ under 18 clash against Albury on Saturday.
“I had to make the choice to play under 18s or seniors, I just chose the higher footy, it’s better footy for myself,” he said.
The lightning start provided the ideal platform for the 17-year-old to feature.
“The heat was on early and I just tried to get myself into the game early and get a few touches,” he said.
“I did that and it just rolled on from there.”
In what will be only his sixth senior game, Frauenfelder will now look to tackle the classy Wangaratta outfit in Sunday’s preliminary final at North Albury’s Bunton Park.
The Pigeons will be hoping Xavier Leslie and Brady Pritchard can prove their fitness.
Pritchard was involved in a massive collision with Lavington’s Luke Garland on the far side of Corowa’s John Foord Oval.
Both players were travelling at speed for the ball and showed tremendous courage as they collided.
Garland was slow to move, while Pritchard spent some time on the ground, before he was assisted off.
And Leslie came off late clutching at his chest region.
