The 18-year-old Wodonga Raiders and Murray Bushrangers export was taken at pick 13 in the national draft on Wednesday.
Ross was the AFL North East Border Youth Girls best and fairest winner and was a strong performer in the AFLW under 18 State of Origin match with five rebound 50s.
She was selected for the 2017 Tac Cup Girls Team of the Year.
Jindera’s Emma Mackie also earned a call-up to AFLW, taken at pick 27 by the Western Bulldogs.
Mackie was a former professional cyclist and won the best and fairest at Box Hill in 2017.
The Bulldogs took Melbourne University and Sandringham Dragons product Isabel Huntington with the first selection in this year’s draft.
