The competition has been running for 35 years with the Wodonga, Albury and Lavington-Jindera centres battling it out.
Wodonga’s Pearce Street complex will host the action after it was switched from Alexandra Park due to unforeseen circumstances.
Wodonga president Sean Streat said the challenge was always a popular event on the calendar.
“While there is a rivalry between the cross border clubs, the competition is always held in great spirit,” Streat said.
Albury’s Dakira Cooper and Logan Sandiland are expected to be prominent in the discus along with Wodonga’s Charlotte Streat in the discus and shot put.
About 300 athletes aged between six and 15 will compete.
Streat said the honours have been shared.
“Albury has had periods of doing well and so has Wodonga,” Streat said.
The action runs from 9am to 12pm.
