After grabbing fifth and third spots in the final two races at Newcastle over the weekend, the Bathurst winner said it was a pleasing end to the season.
“I’m very happy with the whole year,” Reynolds said.
“It was full of ups and downs and it’s been a massive roller-coaster but we have had a win, had some podiums and qualified really well for most of it.
“We’ve banded together as a team, built an amazing car, and been surrounded by an amazing group of people.
“You think this category is all about the numbers, but it’s all about the people that put those numbers together and I can’t do it without them.”
At Brad Jones Racing, Tim Slade qualified a lowly 15th on Saturday, but the team made a great call to leave him out on track while those in front made their first pit stops.
Slade was genuinely quick and made up 12 places with some spectacular driving around the unforgiving Newcastle street layout.
“The Freightliner boys did a great job,” Slade said.
“I was happy with the car and they went with the right strategy.
“It worked in our favour and I was able to make up a bit of time when we were out front; which led us to be able to battle there at the end of the race.”
Sunday was a disappointment though with BJR unable to find any pace and Slade finishing 11th.
Nick Percat also had a strong weekend, finishing 8th on Saturday and 6th on Sunday.
