Grace Griffith has written and directed Fallen, a short film set in World War I that was shot on location in Melbourne and her home region last year.
The project began as Griffith’s graduate film for her Swinburne University degree, with the crew of more than 40 featuring many other recent graduates.
An online fundraising campaign towards a professional sound mix and colour grade before entering the film into international film festivals has already exceeded its initial $3000 target.
Griffith said the fact people and businesses in Bright and Myrtleford were among the contributors to Fallen meant a great deal to her.
“It’s nice to know that all these people still remember me and have been so quick to come on board to help me out,” she said.
“Fallen’s been in the works for 12 months now, so for other people to share in that too, it’s really exciting that it’s not just me that’s excited about this.”
