The 18-year-old played 58 minutes before being substituted, but didn’t look out of place in his side’s 2-1 loss to Fortuna Sittard.
Pasquali has been at the Amsterdam-based club for more than a year and is set to feature in Ajax’s under 19s UEFA Youth League playoff against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) early next month.
The winners of the eight playoff matches will join the eight UEFA Champions League path group winners in the round of 16 on February 20 and 21.
Pasquali’s father, Tony, said Seb isn’t expected to play every game in the reserves because of the size of the Ajax squad.
“The standard is very high at Ajax, even at training,” Tony said.
“It’s very competitive just to get a game at this stage, so that’s going to bring the best out of him.”
