Louise Bryson was due to plead guilty in Wodonga County Court on Tuesday to violence-related charges.
Bryson had made her way to the dock on Tuesday when she started convulsing and collapsed.
Family told court staff this was not uncommon and she usually needed to sleep before she could function again.
Bryson could be heard calling out for her mum before paramedics arrived.
The elderly victim, who had travelled to court to sit in on the hearing, watched as his attacker was treated.
Ambulance Victoria confirmed the woman was taken to Wodonga hospital with a medical condition.
Her case was adjourned until Wednesday.
