Corowa Civic advanced to Saturday’s preliminary final with a 104-78 triumph against YMGCR, while the red-hot Matt Robertson steered Benalla to an automatic grand final berth by defeating Wodonga, 101-73, in the major semi-final.
Wodonga only claimed two rinks against Civic in their two meetings this season.
The Corowa outfit edged them out in round one, 93-87, with Josh Rudd a rink winner for Wodonga.
However, Civic dominated the return clash at Wodonga, 112-75, as Kylie Whitehead grabbed the hosts’ two points with a one-shot win against Tom Webb.
Meanwhile, the Ovens and Murray has planned a practice match to assist in the selection of the representative team to play in the Regional Sides Championships from April 13 to 15 at Traralgon, as well as the upcoming match against the Goulburn Valley on April 8.
