The GOTAFE board headed by Joanne Dwyer has seconded Jennifer Oliver as acting chief executive.
She is presently Box Hill Institute’s executive director academic affairs.
Mr Culpan’s resignation follows soon after the Victorian government announced an inquiry into GOTAFE and had sent an invoice to reclaim $1.7 million in funding related to ‘contractual non-compliance’.
“Paul has been at GOTAFE for 14 years, the past nine as CEO and has been at the helm during a successful period,” Mrs Dwyer said.
He will remain available to work with former Brimbank Council administrator John Watson, who has been appointed to review administration at GOTAFE.
