The community consultation – at the Albury Entertainment Centre between 11am-12.30pm – is one of 10 meetings so far across the Murray Darling Basin.
All people who have an interest in the Basin Plan are welcome to attend and share their views on issues raised by the Terms of Reference.
Commissioner Bret Walker SC, Senior Counsel Assisting Richard Beasley SC, and Commission staff will travel the Basin, from Queensland to South Australia, as part of the Commission’s inquiry.
Mr Beasley said it was important for the Royal Commission to listen to Basin communities and see key sites first-hand.
“We anticipate this will be a significant part of the Commission’s inquiry and will provide important information from local communities about the Basin Plan,” he said.
To attend or speak at the session, register through the Commission’s website, or by emailing or telephoning the Commission’s office.
