Mr Plunkett, who plays golf at Albury, hit a hole in one at Wodonga Golf Course on Friday during the third annual Tim Levesque charity golf day.
The shot earned him $20,000, thanks to Aon Insurance, which he said would be shared with his three Albury Tigers teammates although Mr Plunkett will take the largest slice.
“It was a very lucky day, it was good,” he said, “I love my golf.
“At the start of the day we joked that if one of us did get it we’d share it so that’s the way we’re going to do it.”
The Albury Tigers team was among about 20 teams competing in event which raised $45,000 for the family of former SS&A Club chief executive who died following a fall in 2015.
