After an injury riddled 2017 campaign saw them narrowly miss out on a finals spot, Magpies coach Katherine Wilson believes a fully fit team has what it takes.
“Last week was a tough start against Billabong Crows, and this was another tough one given the weather,” she said.
“It was good to come away with a win.
“We ended up only having five A-graders last year due to injuries and pregnancies, so hopefully this year we can stay fit.
“We had a few tough practice matches that were good preparation.”
Elsewhere, Rand-Walbundrie-Walla, Billabong Crows and Brock-Burrum are the only three sides still undefeated after round two.
The Saints knocked off Culcairn, Henty beat CDHBU, the Crows triumphed over Henty, Jindera toppled Osborne and the Giants edged out Holbrook in the remaining matches.
