Walkers on the Beechworth to Bridge suicide prevention walk have clocked up more than 500 kilometres but there was a spring in their step after the outpouring of support from Lyndhurst Primary School.
Founder Lisa Cartledge said to have these young students join them as they walked was “incredibly uplifting”.
“They came and made a donation and gave a little speech, which showed they understood we were walking to raise awareness about mental health and suicide,” she said.
Just down the road at Blayney the reception was just as warm with the local publican offering up his lodgings free of charge.
“He said what you are doing is awesome and we take our hats off to all of you,” Ms Cartledge said.
