Strong performances against Chiltern, Wahgunyah and Mitta have resulted in the Bushies being regarded as something of a surprise packet, but Pritchard insists his side has a long way to go before they’ve proved themselves.
“We’ve got a lot of young guys and a few experienced players, but I don’t know how much we’ve really achieved just yet,” he said.
“Come the end of the year we’ll probably be fighting for position around teams like Chiltern and Wahgunyah.
“The positive is that a few early wins has given some of those younger players a bit of confidence moving forward.”
Dylan Pritchard has enjoyed a strong start to the season, booting 11 goals in the first three games, while Jesse Dale has bagged eight.
They face Tallangatta this weekend, who have won their last two games.
