Little Miss Wine Bar was officially opened in the foyer of fine dining restaurant Miss Amelie this week.
Miss Amelie owner/chef David Kapay said the $250,000 project to complement the business offered something unique on the Border.
He said they hoped to attract people for a pre-dinner or post-dinner drink or others who wanted to enjoy a drink in a sophisticated venue.
“You build it and they’ll come,” he said.
Kapay said they had doubled their wine list and extended their offerings of spirits and cocktails.
He said a wine specials board in the bar would feature smaller, regional producers.
“We offer a sophisticated selection of tapas like olives, croquettes, mini wagyu burgers and cured fish,” he said.
“The charcuterie and fromage will change regularly.”
Border interior designers Ivey Interiors styled the space, which features a walk-in wine rack, floating fire place and luxury seating.
Little Miss Wine Bar opens Tuesday to Saturday, 4pm to 11pm, and Friday, noon to 11pm.
Happy Hour on Friday runs from 5pm to 7pm.
